Hello Brooklyn Part 2

MANHATTAN- In my last article, I mentioned the fact that Lebron James is going to the New Jersey Nets/Brooklyn Nets. I am now having second thoughts about the entire situation. Not only am I thinking about the Nets, but I am also thinking the Knicks are possible suitors. A couple of days ago, the Knicks traded away Zach Randolph and Jamall Crawford. That gave them great cap room, for eventually 2010. Now Lebron isn’t the only big name out there. Steve Nash and Dwane Wade are also out on the market. On Jay-Z’s blog it states “How amazing would that be? I tell people all the time, he’s my friend first. If Cleveland is building a championship team around him then my advice is to stay there. If it’s the Nets who are building a championship team that could be around him then my advice is to come to the Nets.” Then Lebron told the media quoting Madison Square Garden “I’ve dreamed about playing well in this building and it’s overtaken of how I could ever dream about,” James said. “To get a standing ovation in the greatest basketball arena in the world, it was a dream come true for me. It’s one of the best things that ever happened to me.”

  1. THIS IS A COMMENT TO HELP MYSELF FOR MY NEXT ARTICLE!

Regardless of the rumors, Jay-Z’s 40/40 club opened without a hitch and treated it’s patrons to a grand opening in style by celebrating LeBron James’ 23rd B-Day.
With celebrities such as Gary Payton, Beyonce, Ne-Yo, Just Blaze, Beanie Sigel and various other athletes and artists littered throughout the crowd, Jay-Z’s 40/40 club opened in style. Shunning all of the various inklings that the club didn’t have the proper permits, 40/40 introduced Las Vegas to a sports bar unlike any other. Complete with gold and platinum chain links lining the floor and numerous plasma screens broadcasting ESPN’s Sportscenter, Jay-Z and his various guests delivered an experience unlike any other.
The night featured many celebrity sightings but honed in on celebrating the Cleveland Cavaliers’ superstar, LeBron James, and his 23rd birthday. Jay-Z took to the mic to congratulate James on his accomplishments in the league and showcased a video of James’ highlights.
The 24,000 square foot club features multiple levels for patrons to enjoy various sporting events while having the space to debate sports with many of its celebrity attendees. Although the grand opening was chock full of celebs and guests, even more are expected to arrive at the 40/40’s New Year bash on Dec 31st.
